The Turin Caselle wheelchair accessible tours terminal was designed paying particular attention to the needs of people in difficulty ( disabled, blind, visually impaired, sick, injured or elderly ), so that they could use all the airport services.

The functional diagram of passenger flows is organized on separate levels, with departures in the upper part and arrivals in the lower part.

The internal vertical connections are ensured by elevators equipped with buttons with "Braille" writing and acoustic safety devices.

In the Departures Hall, passengers deliver their bags to the check-in desks by placing them comfortably on a platform. The rooms are large, very bright and the floors are not slippery.

The Arrivals Hall houses the infirmary manned by medical personnel 24 hours a day.

In the baggage claim halls, conveyor belts equipped with a safety system allow for easy recovery of the bags.

The commercial areas are well sized and close in order to facilitate and minimize travel. Dedicated toilets are available on all floors of the terminal.

There is also a tactile path for the visually impaired which develops on the Arrivals and Departures level of the passenger terminal, in the external viability approaching it and in the tunnel connecting to the railway station.

This route guarantees disabled users, also with the help of tactile maps, easy access to the information desk, the airline ticket office, the check-in desk area, the Sala Amica and the toilets.

The multi-storey car park, equipped with free dedicated parking spaces, is directly connected to the Departures and Arrivals areas by a 35-metre covered walkway, free of architectural barriers.

The sidewalks can be easily overcome via slightly sloping slides and access to the terminal consists of 8 large entrance doors, equipped with a safety system and spaced each by about 20 metres.
