I highly recommend Accessible Italian Holiday for any person with a severe injury, such as quadriplegia, who wants to travel to Italy.
You will find that Vincenzo provides everything you need that you have at home.
You will realise that your disability can not hold you back with him as your support.
Italy should be very proud of Accessible Italian Holiday.
I stayed in Florence, Italy during September 2011.
As I am from Australia, and have high level quadriplegia as my disability, I had to have a great deal of trust in Vincenzo to provide me with the equipment I needed.
As a result of regular email contact, Vincenzo subsequently provided me with a wheeled shower commode adequate for my needs, delivering it to the hotel before I arrived and collecting it in person when I was leaving.
He also organised a private tours of areas of Italy that I wanted to visit, Siena, San Gimignano and a wine tasting in a winery.
His driver arrived ahead of time and secured my wheelchair in the modern, very clean, as new accessible van.
Throughout the eight hour tour she provided interesting commentary on what I was seeing.
She put no pressure on me to hurry my visits to Siena and San Gimignano – I felt I had all the time in the world.
I told the driver that I wanted to visit a nice winery where I could do a wine tasting and purchase wine.
She took us to a truly beautiful winery that provided me with what I wanted.
We were given an extraordinary wine tasting guided by an expert, a tasting plate of fresh ingredients, and the opportunity to sit and relax in the sheer pleasure of it all.
I intend to visit Italy again only because I know Accessible Italian Holiday, and Vincenzo, are there to support me.
The rates for hiring equipment and the private tours are very reasonable too.
